WesternZagros Announces Stock Option Grant

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Feb. 21, 2012) -

WesternZagros Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:WZR) ("WesternZagros" or "the Company") announces, as part of its annual employee compensation program, it has granted 6,604,000 stock options to directors, officers, employees and selected consultants of WesternZagros pursuant to the Company's approved stock option plan. These options are exercisable at a price of $0.73 per share representing the closing price of the Company's shares on the TSX Venture Exchange on February 15, 2012. With this grant, WesternZagros will have 25,864,300 stock options outstanding which represents seven percent of the total shares outstanding.
